Walk along the imposing stone walls for spectacular sea views. | | Days 3-4 | Korcula | Then its off to ancient Korcula, supposed birthplace of explorer Marco Polo. Here we spend the night in the home of local islanders - the best sources of information about the town. | | Days 5-7 | Split and Trogir | The site of Roman Emperor Diocletian's retirement palace, Split is the soul of Dalmatia. Follow your local guide around the ruins and hear the fascinating history of this city. | | Day 8 | Zadar | This coastal town is home to the church of St Donatus, whose rotunda houses some of the finest Dalmatian metalwork in existence. | | Days 9-11 | Rab Island | Relax on one of Rab's many unspoilt beaches, or hike to the top of Kamenjak hill for panoramic views of the coastline. Otherwise, explore the thick Kalifront forest and experience the natural wonders of Rab. | | Day 12 | Rovinj | Climb to the top of St Euphemia hill for a look at Rovinj's distinctly Italian architecture. | | Days 13-14 | Venice | See the many famous sights in the City of Light - the Basilica di San Marco, the Palace of the Doge, the Rialto Bridge.
